Colorful Smoothies
In my opinion, there’s no better way to chill during the summer than with a gorgeous smoothie. I LOVE that you can pack a variety of nutrition into them, and they still taste like a dessert! They don’t all have to be full of fruit, either. There are plenty of yummy veggies you can pack in smoothies. In fact, I have used smoothies for years to hide veggies my kids won’t eat on their own – and it works every time!
Nourishing additions.
Collagen. I love adding in some kosher collagen to pretty much any smoothie I make for a little protein boost. Collagen is helpful for supporting your joints and improves your gut function and digestion, too. I love to use Perfect Supplement’s collagen since it’s made from grass-fed cattle and is 100% pesticide and hormone-free.
Egg yolks. Another nourishing addition is a fresh, raw egg yolk! It might sound weird, but it’s really so delicious! Plus raw yolks are full of calcium and iron and are one of the best ways to get vitamins B6, folate, B12, A, D, E, and K! Plus, they help make your smoothie extra creamy and thick.
Trace minerals. Since most Americans are deficient in so many minerals, I like to use ConcenTrace trace mineral drops, in my smoothies. Even though they taste nasty on their own, a healthy colorful smoothie masks that taste perfectly! Trace minerals include magnesium, sodium, chloride, potassium, sulfate, lithium, and boron.
