A cross between breakfast and dessert, this Peanut Butter Mocha Smoothie is the perfect thing to get you out of bed in the morning.
A family staple.
Smoothies are a way of life in my house. There’s not a week that goes by when they don’t show up on my menu at least twice – even in the winter.
This Peanut Butter Mocha Smoothie is kind-of a cross between a breakfast and a dessert. With mostly real-food ingredients, it’s pretty safe to have for breakfast, but the addition of dairy-free chocolate chips gives it a desserty flair. 😉
Herbal coffee.
If you’re not really into coffee, but you still want to enjoy this tasty mocha, you can use an herbal sub, like I do. In all my “coffees” I always use the blends from my friend Jessica Espinosa’s ebook, DIY Herbal Coffee Substitutes. They’re delicious and healthy! But if you happen to be a coffee-lover, feel free to use your regular cup of joe. 😉
This quick and simple recipe is going down over at Natural Fertility and Wellness, so head on over and check it out!

So you had me at your bio. Seriously. There are some people/blogs you just know you’re gonna love by the photo and sidebar blurb. THEN I clicked onto the smoothie recipe…and pinned it…after drooling. Gfree, southern girl (originally from SC) getting eaten by the sqeeters! Homeschooler. Jesus lover. What else did you say? Dang. I bet we watch/read the same things too. 🙂 It’s great to find your blog. I found you on the faith filled parenting link up.
Haha! Nice to ‘meet’ you, Jessie. I’m so glad you were drawn by the smoothie. I hope your keyboard still works after being drooled on… 😉
Soo… What kind of books do you like? I’m currently loving 3rd grade textbooks and On The Banks of Plum Creek. (kidding) I’m sure someday I’ll have my own reading material again… Right? 😉
I love a good smoothie, though I have a hard time ditching my hot coffee during the winter. Thanks for linking at Merry Monday!
Glad to share, Megan. I guess that’s one of the benefits of living in the south – it’s always warm enough for a smoothie. 😉
