Are you in need of something nourishing and delicious to cool you down this summer? This easy creamy iced eggnog has it all – sweet enough to be a dessert, healthy enough to be breakfast, and the flavors to transport you from heat and humidity to cool weather. At least on the inside….

Creamy Iced Eggnog
Milk. The base for this drink is of course milk. I love using fresh, raw milk for it (extra nourishing!), but you can use whatever kind of milk you like. I’ve made it with organic, almond milk, and coconut milk and I like them all.
Eggs. And of course it wouldn’t be eggnog without eggs. Traditionally speaking, anyway. I use fresh eggs from my hens for my creamy iced eggnog, so I have no issues with them being raw. I know they’re healthy. If you don’t have a source for fresh eggs, you can use organic ones, if you’re happy with the source.
If you’re not sure about having your eggs raw, you can gently heat the drink, whisking constantly, and once it’s steamy, serve it over ice or just chill it.
Sweetener. There are a few different sweeteners you can use for this creamy iced eggnog. I’ve used coconut sugar and honey, and they’re both delicious. And I know that maple syrup would be yummy too, even though I haven’t tried it. How could it not be delicious?
Extras. For all eggnogs, nutmeg is a necessity. Without it, the drink just wouldn’t taste like eggnog! I also like to use a little vanilla extract, and some grass-fed kosher collagen powder to up the nutrient value. But of course, both those two are optional. A little sea salt also helps the flavors pop.
Though the drink gets nice and frothy when you blend it up, you can also top it with whipped cream for fanciness. If you need a delicious dairy-free option you can make my coconut whipped cream.
