A delicious twist on the classic comfort food, this paleo chocolate pecan banana bread will become a favorite recipe in no time!

Paleo Chocolate Pecan Banana Bread
Bananas. Three medium-sized, spotty bananas are perfect for this recipe! You can use them in any form of mush you want. Firmer bananas are fine, and completely browned ones are too. I’m not a super big fan of the rum-y flavor of browned bananas, though.
Eggs. Just in case you ask, I would not substitute more bananas for the eggs. I have tried it and the banana bread just falls apart when you try to cut it. So please use the eggs. If you absolutely cannot have eggs, you could try a flax egg replacement, just know I haven’t tried that yet, so I don’t know how it would work.
Sweetener. You can use either honey or coconut sugar to sweeten this chocolate pecan banana bread. They both work fine. They both are delicious. You could probably use maple syrup too, if you want. I haven’t tried stevia or anything that’s keto. If you like super dark chocolate, you can leave out the sweetener all together!
Oil. I like to use avocado oil since it’s a neutral flavor and I don’t ever have to melt it like I do coconut oil. But coconut oil will work, just melt and cool it a little first. Olive oil will also work. Melted butter or ghee would work too if you can do dairy!

Cocoa. Chocolate is my favorite antioxidant rich food, sooo I try to eat as much as possible. Just to stay healthy. My favorite cocoa is Azure Standard’s fair-trade, organic cocoa powder, but I also use the cocoa powder from Aldi. It’s fair-trade too, though not organic.
Flour. Almond flour is the only flour used in this recipe. If you would like to use a little coconut flour, you can use add a 1/4 cup in place of 1/2 cup of the almond flour. I haven’t tried any other flour blends for this recipe, so if you use something else, do so at your own peril!
Pecans. I mean, of course. It is chocolate pecan banana bread, after all. I prefer to use organic pecans, and I know they’re pricey, so feel free to use whatever you want. If you really want to, you can use walnuts or something else like that. Or just leave out the pecans and have regular chocolate banana bread. I won’t come for you. I promise.
