Chia puddings are a fun breakfasty snack that my kids are always trying to steal from me. They’re not super hard to whip up, and they’re pretty nourishing. Plus, you can pretty much make chia pudding into whatever flavor you like. My favorites are mocha and eggnog, but I’ve done a delicious maple apple pie chia pudding too. I have a delicious orange julius chia pudding recipe in my Instagram highlights!

Since peaches are in season right now (it’s July as I write this), I decided a yummy peaches and cream chia pudding was needed. And whipping this up did not disappoint! My kids loved it, and I had to snap the pictures fast before it disappeared!

Chia seeds. If you haven’t guessed the main ingredient of this chia pudding recipe…. it’s chia seeds. Surprise! Chia seeds (or frog eggs, as my kids call them) have massive amounts anti-oxidants, ALA omega 3 fatty acids, fiber, and protein. And they’re also a wonderful source of calcium, potassium, and magnesium!

Like most seeds they need to be soaked for humans to get the most nutrition out of them. Otherwise the phytic acid in them keeps all the goodness locked in safe! So since chia pudding is made by soaking the seeds for a few hours before eating, it’s a wonderful way to get all those chia benefits!

Milk. While you can totally use whatever kind of milk you want for this peaches and cream chia pudding, I really love using raw cows milk or fresh goats milk since they’re packed with nutrition. I use full-fat coconut milk or my homemade coconut milk as well.

Sweetener. Like always, I use honey as the sweetener here. Not that it needs much sweetener! Peaches are plenty sweet on their own. But I love adding the flavor and amazing superfood qualities that honey brings. Of course, maple syrup will be delicious too, or agave.

Peaches. Peaches are a great source of vitamin A, vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. And if you struggle with molds, like I do, peaches are healing for you! Peaches contain loads of caffeic acid, which is an antioxidant that protects the body from the dangerous cancer-causing mold aflatoxin (found in things like peanuts and corn). They also help decrease inflammation by stopping the production of inflammatory cytokines and keeping down histamine levels in your blood.

Optional addition. I love to add in raw egg yolks to this peaches and cream chia pudding. If you have a good source for pastured, organic eggs (and aren’t allergic), raw egg yolks are full of nutrition your body needs! Egg yolks is one of the best ways to get vitamins B6, folate, B12, A, D, E, and K, and calcium and iron.
