Need a quick topping for any dessert or coffee? This easy blender caramel sauce boasts only 2 ingredients and takes only a couple minutes to make.
I have been making my own caramel sauce for years, but recently mom life got the best of me and I decided not to spend the time standing over a stove boiling sugar. And this easy blender caramel sauce was born.
Though you can add in collagen, sea salt, and/or vanilla extract, there are really only 2 ingredients needed for this tasty treat.
Blender caramel sauce ingredients.
Coconut sugar.
Yes. Real sugar. I recently started trying to incorporate coconut sugar into my diet (only small amounts, mind you), and it’s been going well! I love that coconut sugar actually contains minerals that my body needs, like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, choline, magnesium, and more. I always use Azure Standard’s organic coconut sugar, but you can use whatever type you like. The finer the sugar, the smoother the caramel sauce.
Though I would encourage you to stick with organic sugar, of course, but the coconut type isn’t exactly necessary. You can make this blender caramel sauce with any granulated sugar you want, though the type will make the end taste a little different.
Cream.
I use organic heavy cream and full fat coconut cream interchangeably in this recipe. I haven’t noticed a big difference in the final product (other than the slight coconut taste if I use coconut cream). I enjoy the caramel sauce both ways! Like with any dairy or coconut milk product, look for the product with the least amount of ingredients listed on the back. For regular heaven cream, for instance, the ingredients should be cream. The end. I know that’s really hard to find, and pretty expensive! If you need to cheat, don’t beat yourself up about it. This is basically a “cheat” recipe anyway. It’s not like you are going to be eating it 24/7. Hopefully…. 😀
If you have access to raw dairy, the cream from that would be an awesome ingredient!
Options.
I like to try and make my desserts as healthy as possible, so I love adding in collagen and sea salt to pretty much everything. For my collagen, I always use either Anthony’s collagen, or Perfect Supplements. They’re both kosher and grass-fed, and I can actually tell a difference in my body when I use them, as opposed to other brands.
As for salt, I use Celtic Sea Salt’s fine ground salt. I get it from Azure Standard, but you can also find it at Amazon and most health food stores.
While it’s totally not necessary, vanilla extract adds a nice touch to this caramel sauce, too! I like to use Azure Standard’s extract.
In the post and recipe card I’ve linked to some of the products from my affiliate partners that I like to use. Purchasing through these links won’t cost you anything extra. Thanks!
