Deviled eggs.
We all probably have that one dish that we just didn’t like growing up. For me, that was deviled eggs. Well, that was one of them, anyway… I was a kinda picky kid, so there were actually quite a few dishes I didn’t like. But one of them was definitely deviled eggs.
At least sometimes.
As a kid, I couldn’t understand why I liked them at one potluck, but the next one thought they were nasty. Now that I’ve made them a bunch I understand. I just hated the pickle/olive kind. Plane Jane is more my style as a kid. Nice and creamy without all the fermented additions.
Now that I’ve gone through making my own and playing around with variations (still pickle and olive-free) I’ve found quite a few that I love. And my most recent favorite is these keto ranch deviled eggs.
Homemade ranch mix.
Of course, being a real foodie, there’s no way I’m going to use a store-bought ranch dressing to make these deviled eggs. No way. Soy, sugar, dairy, MSG, EDTA anyone? No thanks.
The ranch mix for this easy recipe is taken from my keto probiotic ranch dressing. It’s a simple mix of herbs and spices that most people have on hand. Nothing fancy, but oh-so yummy!
To keep it extra healthy I mix it up with sour cream. You can use mayonnaise, if you prefer, but I don’t think it tastes as much like ranch that way. I’ve also used milk kefir, which gives it a super extra tang.
Keto ranch deviled eggs.
Though you can make your eggs however you want, I like to make them in the Instant Pot. It’s super easy, and then I can forget them without overcooking them… Not that I struggle that at all… #momlife
But anyway, using the Instant Pot makes peeling the eggs incredibly easy, and they’re all cooked perfectly inside! With the easy ranch mix, the perfectly cooked yolks, and a little sour cream, these ranch deviled eggs are a simple and tasty treat. Whenever I make them it always seems they evaporate before my eyes…
More appetizing appetizers.
If you think these keto ranch deviled eggs sound amazing, you’ll also enjoy my sour cream and sriracha version. And here are a few more of my family’s favorite appetizer/snack recipes! Truth be told, sometimes I just serve them up as a meal by themselves…. again with the mom life thing….

Keto Ranch Deviled Eggs
Free from gluten, grain, and sugar.
Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 1 cup water
- 4-6 tablespoons sour cream (you can make your own, but I usually use Daisy)
- 1/2 teaspoon dill
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley, plus a little for garnishing
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4+ teaspoon Himalayan salt, to taste
- dash pepper
- optional pinch red pepper flakes
Instructions
Place the rack in the bottom of the Instant Pot (I use the Instant Pot Duo 6 quart 7-in-1), and add the eggs and water. Cover the IP with the lid and turn the vent to seal. Press ‘manual’ and set the time to 3 minutes.
While the eggs are cooking, add the remaining ingredients to a bowl.
When the timer goes off, quick vent the Instant Pot. Remove the inner pot and place it in the sink. Fill the pot with cold water.
Peel the eggs in the inner pot – still filled with water. I do this by tapping each egg on the top and bottom first on the counter, then gently roll along the side and then placing them back in the water to peel.
Place peeled eggs on a plate. Slice each egg lengthwise. Gently scoop out the yolk and place it in the bowl with the remaining ingredients.
Using a hand mixer, blend until creamy. Alternatively, you could use an immersion blender or just beat it quickly by hand with a fork.
Scoop heaping tablespoonfuls of filling mixture into each half of egg. Sprinkle with parsley. Pause and admire your keto ranch deviled eggs for a second, then devour.
This look AMAZING. You just combined my 2 favorite things and I need to make this soon!
Thanks Jean! I hope you enjoy them!
Just received a delivery of farm fresh eggs from my friend Al’s farm.
Can’t wait to try your recipe Raia!! YUM!
I hope you enjoy them, Carol! 🙂
Using the Instant Pot really is the best way to make hard-boiled eggs. And your filling looks so good! My family will love this.
I hope they do, Donny! And I totally agree about eggs in the IP. 😉
