This paleo, honey-sweetened Peppermint White Hot Chocolate is a favorite holiday drink in my house. It’s nourishing, delicious, and super easy to whip up.
Hitting the spot.
It’s that time of year. The time when warming drinks are in style. Especially the sweet ones. Come to think of it, are there even any savory warming drinks? Maybe golden milk…
But anyway. Warming drinks. Like hot chocolates, apple ciders… Those sorts of things are all I want to drink this time of year! In fact, some days my breakfast is just a big ol’ mug of Pumpkin Chai Latte, or more recently, this Peppermint White Hot Chocolate.
Nourishing warmth.
If you’re on the lookout for more delicious, nutritious, and warming drinks, here are a few of my favorites…

White chocolate ≠ chocolate.
Now, to be honest, I’m really not a white chocolate fan. Why in the world would you put white chocolate in anything (or drink it) when you could use dark chocolate? Seriously, there’s no comparison. White chocolate isn’t really chocolate.
But when I saw this Lavender White Chocolate Steamer recipe over on my friend Megan’s site, I started thinking. White chocolate wouldn’t be all that bad if I consumed it whilst reminding myself that it’s really not chocolate.
So I did. And I was happy.
Peppermint White Hot Chocolate
This easy little drink is full of nourishing goodness. Including what actually makes it “white chocolate.” Cocoa butter. It’s full of antioxidants, and is a healthy saturated fat (yes, I just said that), like coconut oil. These facts make cocoa butter great for boosting your immune system, lowering inflammation, and helping to keep your heart healthy.
Cocoa butter also increases your brain’s production of serotonin, which helps control hormonal mood swings. Pair that with the calming effect of peppermint, and you’ve got the perfect drink for getting your morning off to a gentle start, or soothing yourself down after a hectic day.
To add in a little extra nutrition, I whisk in a teaspoon or two of Perfect Supplements’ gelatin. It’s 100% non-GMO and kosher and provides a nice little protein boost to this Peppermint White Hot Chocolate.
