When it comes to fish, my family has a pretty broad palate. We enjoy salmon, tilapia, flounder, and tuna, but our most recent love is trout. While I’m sure there are many delicious ways to prepare trout, I like to keep it simple. Just some diced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and a lemon slice.

Fish protein contain all the essential amino acids, and trout also boast high counts of necessary vitamins, minerals and beneficial polyunsaturated omega 3 & 6 fatty acids.

Baked Trout.

Trout is surprisingly easy to cook a whole. I stuff it, wrap it in foil, and throw it in the oven! If you have a grill, you can use that instead, or even make these over a campfire. And don’t worry about all the tiny bones in trout, they come out pretty easily after being cooked.
