Donuts are the perfect Saturday morning breakfast for children (or spouses) who are begging for something special. Unfortunately, store-bought donuts aren’t known for being even moderately healthy. And as a health-conscious momma, I cringe every time my hubby splurges and brings home donuts for breakfast on the weekend. (It probably only happens once a year…)

Strawberry Banana Donuts
Down here in the south, local strawberries have been producing up a storm so I’m into making strawberry everything. Including donuts. And to make these Strawberry Banana Donuts as healthy as possible for my darling family, they’re grain-free and sweetened only with honey! That’s right, even that delicious cream cheese frosting is honey sweetened.
For most of my donut recipes, I use this handy little donut maker. It’s basically a waffle maker, but for donuts. If you don’t have one of those, and don’t plan on getting one, I also love this silicone donut pan! Super easy to clean, and makes the perfect size donuts.
