Dig in to over 50 delicious gluten-free cakes from talented bloggers around the gluten-free web! Chocolate, white, angel food, red velvet, cupcakes, and more… with paleo, keto, and vegan options!
Happy birthday to me.
Today just happens to be my birthday. In honor of turning 29 for about the 4th time, I decided to celebrate by putting together a list of delicious gluten-gree cakes! There’s a little something here for everyone: chocolate (that’d be for me), red velvet, white, angel food, cheesecake, carrot cake, tiramisu, cupcakes… No matter what kind of cake you enjoy, you’ll find it here!
Vanilla Layer Cake by Faithfully Gluten-Free
A small confession.
Before we dig in, I have a little confession to make. I’m not really a cake person. Well, I didn’t use to be one, anyway. One of the side effects of growing up with a real-food mom was that junk food kinda got lost on me. Birthday parties and such – with all their boxed, dry, over frosted cakes – were not my favorite things. I actually preferred my grandma’s homemade fruit cake at our family’s Christmas party!
But going gluten-free changed all that. I can honestly say that I now enjoy cake. In my humble opinion, gluten-free cakes are 100x better than there gluten containing counterparts! (Except for my husband’s groom’s cake at our wedding – that was pretty awesome, thanks to my bff’s mom.)

So it’s with much lip-licking and picking out of my favorites that I present to you this delicious round-up of gluten-free cakes.
Enjoy….
PS: If the cake fits in to any specific diet (i.e. paleo, vegan, egg-free, etc.) I’ve labeled it as such. You’re welcome. If *not* labeled as anything, assume that said cake is full of dairy, eggs, and sugar.

Chocolate cakes.
If you’ve been around my site at all you know chocolate anything is my jam. My thing. It’s probably in my veins. So these mouth-watering and decadent chocolate cakes are pretty much all on my dessert menu.

I’m talking about cakes made with lemons, bananas, pineapples, strawberries, etc. As in, cakes that you should technically be able to eat for breakfast ’cause they have fruit in them.

I have three grandchildren who are all allergic to gluten ( and my son now also) and although I have been baking for 25+ years I am now thrust into baking for them so they can enjoy items they will be able to eat. I have tried getting ideas from your site but am not able to subscribe or get any info. Please help since my 1 year old granddaughter’s birthday is Sunday Nov 7 !
You don’t have to subscribe to get any of the recipes, Dauhn. Just search trough the ‘recipes’ tab in the top navigation. Or, if you’re just looking for a birthday cake, just click on any of the cake titles in the lists above. 🙂

Can we make cakes without adding sugar? I tend to find that sugar doesn’t really help people on strict diets.
I really liked everything. Thanks, very helpful
So glad to hear it!
