Store-bought elderberry syrup can be expensive and contain unnecessary sweeteners and fillers. You can stay away from them and still give your immune system the boost it needs by making your own Homemade Elderberry Syrup!
Doing it myself.
Over the past year I’ve become quite the fan of elderberry syrup. While it has long been known for its medicinal benefits, many of the syrups on the market are expensive and contain unnecessary additives. While I want to help my family be as healthy as possible, I’d rather not spend more than necessary, and I’d definitely rather keep all the extra fillers out of my home remedies!
If you’re not sure why you should trust your health to a tiny little berry, let me give you a few reasons:
- amino acids, carotenoids, flavonoids
- vitamins A & B and copious amounts of vitamin C (even more than oranges!)
- anti-viral, antibacterial, antioxidant and immune-boosting properties!
- bioflavonoids capable of destroying the ability of cold and flu viruses to infect a cell!
How do those reasons sound? Elderberries are amazing, friends!
