Perfectly spiced and with a lovely crumb, this paleo and GAPS-friendly Spiced Dark Chocolate Cake is the perfect treat to brighten any day!
Just what I need.
There’s not much a chocolate cake can’t fix. Sinks full of dirty dishes, piles of laundry to wash, fold, and put away…
Just kidding.Â
A chocolate cake might not fix those things, but it will definitely help one have a better attitude when completing them. I speak from experience. But you probably shouldn’t take my word for it… You should try it out for yourself. 😉
Spiced Dark Chocolate Cake
This cake was one of my first grain-free successes when going on the GAPS diet the first time around. It turns out wonderfully every time and I’ve even modified the recipe to make grain-free dark chocolate cupcakes.
Though it is called a ‘spiced’ cake, it’s really not that spicy (not like my dark chocolate Mexican blender brownies). It’s a very gentle spice. But if you’re not a fan of spices and you’re just in the mood for a plain ol’ dark chocolate cake, you can leave out the spices.

Glad to share, Kaylin! I like to make my chocolate as healthy as possible, so I don’t feel any guilt in eating most of it myself. 😉
