Easy Cheese n Chia Crackers
Free from gluten, eggs, and sugar.
- 1/2 cup brown rice flour
- 1/2 cup tapioca flour
- 1/2 cup arrowroot powder
- 2 tablespoons chia meal (ground chia seeds)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon guar gum
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1/3 cup water
In large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.
Cut in butter (with a pastry cutter or two knives) until it is in pea-sized crumbs.
Stir in cheese and enough water to make the dough begin to ball up.
With your hands, combine dough into one ball, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350.
Remove dough from fridge and roll out, half at a time, between two pieces of plastic wrap.
Transfer dough to a cookie sheet and cut into little squares with a pizza cutter.
Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden.
these look really tasty, trying to find commercial gluten free crackers has been tough as they all seem to have corn! I will be trying your recipe with some corn free/dairy-free twists, thank you!
Hope they work out for you! Thanks for the comment. 🙂
Sorry, one other idea…I have had lots of people let me know how frustrating it is to post comments through blogger sometimes. You could change your settings so that some one could post as anonymos or as their name and URL. It might make it easier for some to post on your blog too! Thanks again!
