Welcome back to Savoring Saturdays!
Sadly, I’m still fighting off whatever the heck I had last weekend, but I can tell I’m on the mend, thanks to prayers, raw garlic, and copious amounts of elderberry & respiratory tinctures made by my friend.
Today is also a bittersweet day for my family. It’s my little brother’s 32nd birthday, but he’s celebrating in heaven. Four years ago he moved there after being hit head-on while driving his motorcycle home. We miss him dearly, but are so glad to know that he is happy with Jesus! If you pray, please lift up my family, especially my brother’s three sweet, spunky kiddos.

Now on to this weekend’s party…
Once I’m over this awful cold thing, the plan is to celebrate with ginormous amounts of chocolate (healthy, of course, don’t wanna relapse!). I’m thinking this weekend’s feature should be on the menu. How could you say no to Paleo Oreo Cookies from Forest & Fauna? Healthy nostalgia, that’s what those are! Not that I ever ate oreos as a kid, my mom was way too crunchy to allow that… But they’re still reminiscent of childhood. 😉
